ITINERARY


Day 1 – Siem Reap Arrival
Overnight in Siem Reap (4 nights)
Meals included: No meal

Landing in Siem Reap International Airport and privately transfer to your hotel in town. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.


Day 2 – Siem Reap

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner with Apsara Dance Show

Today rise early to catch the spectacular sunrise over the wonderful ruins of Angkor Wat, regarded by many as the quintessential Angkor experience. Enter through the eastern gate and exit at the west gate avoiding the crowds. Then return to hotel for breakfast. Remainder of this morning continue to visit the mysterious Ta Prohm and Neak Pean temple “the coiled serpents”. After lunch visit Banteay Srei temple “the Citadel of Women”, a pink sandstone temple with beautiful ornate stone carvings which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. Return to Angkor area to explore the ancient fortified city of Angkor Thom with its stunning Bayon Temple, one of the finest examples of classic Khmer architecture. You will also see the nearby Baphuon temple, Terrace of the Elephant and Terrace of the Leper King. This evening enjoy your delicious dinner with Traditional Khmer Dance performance at a local restaurant.


Day 3 – Siem Reap

This morning set sail on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia to see the floating villages and catfish farms dotting the landscape at Kampong Phluk. Cambodia’s Tonle Sap, or Great Lake, is one of the unique geographical wonders, as it offers visitors insights into the centuries-old traditions of riparian life and the natural splendour of the country. Lunch served at local restaurant. Remainder of this afternoon is free at leisure or you may take a city tour as your vehicle and guide are at disposal.


Day 4 – Siem Reap

Today start your adventure with the first stop to experience “Indiana Jones” feel as you walk through the dense jungle Beng Mealea temple and climb through it to discover the completely overgrown temple. Then head to discover the Koh Ker complex. Located 130 km northeast of Siem Reap. Koh Ker temple is a stunning seven level sandstone faced pyramid (35 meters high) – represents the remnants of the capital of the Khmer Empire from 928 AD. – 944 A.D, built by King Jayavaraman IV, a very unique period in the Age of Angkor. It was built to worship Treypuvanesvara, the god of happiness. Also see the other several temples nearby including Liga temple. Picnic boxed luncheons are provided.


Day 5 – Siem Reap / Battambang
Overnight in Battambang (2 nights)
Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner

Transfer by overland to Battambang, an artsy city blessed with early 20th-century French colonial architecture, creative fizz and fabulous food. The city was long part of Siam, but its heritage stretches back to the Angkor kingdom. Enjoy the city tour in late afternoon. Dinner served at local restaurant.


Day 6 – Battambang

Today you’ll discover Wat Ek Phnom, a part-ruined 11th-century temple. Watch rice and coconut delectable being produced and wander among ancient houses. Then visit the local grape yards and winery before climbing the 358 stone steps leading to the five towers of Phnom Banan – a 1000-year-old Khmer temple sporting superb carvings, reputedly the inspiration for Angkor Wat –from where you’ll drink in sweeping views. Take a chance to experience the thrilling Bamboo train with your local tour guide.


Day 7 – Battambang / Phnom Penh

After breakfast head east to the capital, Phnom Penh, a vibrant city whose past is never far from the surface. Spend this afternoon exploring the city’s highlights include the glittering Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, admiring the over 5,000 silver tiles covering the floor and the collection of shiny golden Buddhas. Then walk to visit the National Museum, home to the country’s most important collection of ancient Cambodian artefacts. This evening enjoy dinner served on the floating boat in the Mekong Rivers while observing beauty of this charming city at dusk.


Day 8 – Phnom Penh

This morning visit the interrogation centre of Tuol Sleng (S-21) and the Chhoeung Ek Killing Fields Memorial. The tour is for an insight into the horrors suffered by the Cambodian people during that dark period. Although not a joyful tour, visiting these monuments unlocks keys to understanding the development of this still developing country. Remainder of the day is free at leisure or you may spend this time meandering around the famous Central Market or Tuol Tumpong Market “Russian Market”, which sells a vast array of goods.


Day 9 – Phnom Penh / 4Rivers Floating Lodge in Koh Kong

Meals included: Breakfast

Today set off for an almost 5-hour drive to 4River Floating Lodge in Koh Kong. Arrive at Phum Doung Bridge and embark on a 30-minute local boat to the resort. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Free day at leisure or you may enjoy the resort and its surroundings at yours.


Day 11 – 4Rivers Floating Lodge / Sihanoukville

This morning embark a local boat to the shore and continue by vehicle to Sihanoukville, the most famous beach town of Cambodia. Check in at your hotel and free at leisure.


Day 12-13 – Sihanoukville & free days at leisure

Free day at leisure to enjoy hotel’s facilities and beach. Lunch and dinner are on your own arrangement.


Day 14 – Sihanoukville / Departure via Phnom Penh

Today your journey in Cambodia comes an end with a 4-hour overland transfer from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh Airport for your flight home or next destination.
