  • The Royal palace can be totally/partly closed without prior notice for some royal ceremonies.
  • Dress code: Women are suggested to dress modestly – no see through clothes, bare shoulders and must be skirts below knee length during the visits to the Royal Palace and Angkor temples

Day 1 – Siem Reap / Arrival
Overnight in Siem Reap (3 nights)
Meals included: Dinner with Apsara Dance Show

Landing in Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to your hotel in town. Late this afternoon, at 3 pm, start your Angkor adventure with a professional guide at the mightiest Khmer temple –and the world’s largest religious monument –spectacular Angkor Wat. Walk its shady cloisters among orange-robed monks and watch the setting sun paint the temple’s lofty prangs (spires) and carved walls gold as dusk falls. This evening enjoy your delicious dinner with Traditional Khmer Dance performance at a local restaurant.

Day 2 – Siem Reap

Early this morning at 6.30 am, depart to visit Ta Prohm before crowds arrive. This mysterious is entangled in the surrounding jungle foliage. Climb over its crumbling stonework and marvel at the tree roots dripping down the temple’s walls and see weathered Buddha faces appear in bas-relief and giant tree roots seem to flow over stone walls. Continue to explore Neak Pean temple before returning to your hotel for refreshment and late breakfast.

After breakfast at 9.30 am, you are picked up for a private Khmer Cooking Class. Take tour to Siem Reap lively market (Old Market) accompanied by your chef. Once you have all ingredients, move on to the kitchen to start the class with theory. A full three courses Khmer menu will be prepared by you, all under professional guidance by a skilled Cambodian chef. Eventually, enjoy your self-made lunch at the restaurant.

Spend the rest of this afternoon discovering the ancient fortified city of Angkor Thom with its stunning Bayon Temple. The structure of the giant faces of Bayon temple is staggering in its construction and most Angkor specialists agree that it is one of the finest examples of classic Khmer architecture. Continue to Baphuon temple and then see the Terrace of the Elephant and Terrace of the Leper King to view their detailed stone carvings. Lastly, visit Preah Khan temple “Sacred Sword”. Dinner served at a local restaurant.

Day 3 – Siem Reap

This morning drive out of Siem Reap to visit Kampong Khleang on Tonle Sap Lake with boat ride. Kampong Khleang is a traditional stilted village community found living high above the lake’s waters and the village provides homes for some 20,000 residents – it is the largest single community on the fringes of the lake. It’s definitely worth making the journey that little bit further to avoid the crowds and see Kampong Khleang in all its glory. Afterwards experience a hosted home lunch by a local family in the nearby village. Take some rest after lunch before departing to visit Banteay Srei temple “the Citadel of Women”, a pink sandstone temple with beautiful ornate stone carvings which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. Stop at a local village along the way to meet local people and see how they produce their local commodities such as sugar palm. Early this evening, you will also visit the Siem Reap’s Angkor Night Market before transferring to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 4 – Siem Reap / Sihanoukville
Overnight in Sihanoukville (3 nights)

This morning is free at leisure until transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your one-hour flight to Sihanoukville, the best seaside town in Cambodia. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred by a hotel’s vehicle to your hotel. The transfer takes about 35 minutes.

Day 5 – Sihanoukville

Meals included: Breakfast & Lunch

Today you will enjoy a day trip to visit Koh Rong Sanleom with picnic lunch (sharing basis) – 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Return transfers to the pier, boat fee, and swimming, snorkelling and picnic lunch are included.

Day 6 – Sihanoukville & free day at leisure
Overnight in Sihanoukville
Meals included: Breakfast

Free day at leisure to enjoy hotel’s facilities and beach. Lunch and dinner are on your own arrangement.

Day 7 – Sihanoukville / Phnom Penh

Transfer to Phnom Penh by overland with driver (No guide). The transfer takes almost 4 hours. Upon arrival Phnom Penh, proceed your hotel for check in.

Day 8 – Phnom Penh

Today is a full day to explore the city’s highlights. Start with the glittering Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, admiring the over 5,000 silver tiles covering the floor and the collection of shiny golden Buddhas. Then walk to visit the National Museum, home to the country’s most important collection of ancient Cambodian artefacts. Lunch served at a local restaurant.

This afternoon absorb moving reminders of Cambodia’s troubled recent history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school turned into the S-21 prison –essentially a torture centre –by the murderous Khmer Rouge regime, and the notorious killing fields of Choeung Ek, where some 17,000 people met their ends. Although not a joyful tour, visiting these monuments unlocks keys to understanding the development of this still developing country.  This evening enjoy dinner served on the floating boat in the Mekong Rivers while observing beauty of this charming city at dusk.

Day 9 – Phnom Penh / Departure
Meals included: Breakfast

Free at leisure and transfer to the airport for your departure home or next destination.
